Hi everyone! My name is Hamlet Avakian and I am working in the legal department as an Associate Counsel at Airbnb. I have been in my role for almost 5 years now and love what I do. I work with a team of others in the legal department breaking ground in government compliance, policy, law, and much more!
Prior to Airbnb I was a paralegal at MetLife working in New York City! I have spent majority of my life in New York where I graduated from Columbia University with my B.A. In 2011 I received my J.D. from NYU and have been working at Airbnb since then!
If anyone here is interested in the corporate life of either MetLife or Airbnb please reach out and contact me directly! I would love to talk to you more about what it is I did there and all other questions you may have! 🙂

Hamlet was super engaging and the converstion I had with her was great. I had so many questions about what it was like working at Air Bnb and wanted to learn more about the company culture and standing since it's still a relatively new company. She shared great insights about her job, working there, and what her general work life/daily routines are. I absouelty am thrilled to have been connected with her!
So glad I got to book a session with Hamlet! I'm still a senior in my undergrad and am practicing law studies and I wasn't too quite sure which law schools to apply to. Hamlet not only provided me with advice on the applcaiton process, but also talked about her past experiences attending both Columbia and USC! I got a better understanding of what to put on my essay's and how to increase my chances of being selected by these prestigious law schools. Thanks Hamlet!
Thanks Hamlet! Will be in touch again.
